In the December 2009 issue of Wine & Spirits Magazine Gilbert Cellars                                         2006 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was named one of the 100 Best Cabernet Sauvignons. Wine & Spirits gave the wine 91 points in their August 2009 issue and wrote the following after tasting the cab: "This ripe, warm-site cabernet has a scent of plum jam along with carmelized oak notes. The blackberry and plum flavors are pure and forward, the texture firm and tannic. Its powerful finish suggests pairing with steak, blue and bloody."
