ABOUT THE BEER
Treeline is Single Hill’s first foray into bottled and barrel-aged beer which they’ve been carefully preparing over the past year. Treeline beers are designed to bring together elements of wine, beer and spirits to create outstanding beers that cross boundaries. They celebrate collaboration and the abundance of the Yakima Valley by elevating outstanding beers through oak barrels, winemakers methods, fresh local fruit, spirits or wild fermentations. From the farmer’s boot prints in the dirt and aromatic orchard canopies, to barrels with history, each bottle has a story to tell.
WOOD: Merlot Barrels, Gilbert Cellars (Yakima, WA)
FRUIT: Robada Apricots, Gilbert Orchards (Yakima, WA)
They aged this special Belgian golden ale for 7 months in freshly-emptied Merlot barrels. Then, at the peak of the season, they hand-processed fresh-picked apricots and fermented them with the beer. Supremely unique, this beer shares elements of oaky wine and fresh apricot pie.
WOOD: Cabernet Sauvignon Barrels, JB Neufeld (Yakima, WA)
FRUIT: Montmorency and Bing Cherries, Johnson Orchards (Yakima, WA)
They aged this special Belgian golden ale for 7 months in freshly-emptied Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. Then, at the peak of the season, they hand-processed tart and sweet dark cherries and fermented them with the beer. It is not sour and shares elements of oaky wine and fresh cherry pie.
WOOD: Used French Oak Barrels
FRUIT: Sugar Time Peaches & Honey Star Plums, Johnson Orchards (Yakima, WA)
Star Time began life as Hitched, their fruity and tart kettle sour fermented with their Yakima-grown sourdough culture. They aged it in oak barrels for months before blending and refermenting with fresh golden plums and ripe peaches dripping with juice. It’s a bit or summer captured in a bottle.
